Backgammon
The backgammon section is open, without any fees, to all Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club and Hampstead Cricket Club members and welcomes players of all ages and abilities.
Interest in the game is growing rapidly and the section now comprises over 40 members. Some are beginners, for whom tuition is offered, and there are also many who have been playing for years, several of whom are rated amongst the U.K.’s top 200 players.
The section runs leagues and a cup tournament for members and an occasional Sunday afternoon tournament for members and guests. Social evenings, from 7pm, are organised on a regular basis, typically twice monthly. The Cumberland also participates in the London Backgammon League.
