The fitness suite at CLTC is equipped with a range of CV and resistance equipment from Life Fitness, Cybex, Concept 2 and Wattbike. Overlooking the grass tennis courts, the space provides a great place in which Members can achieve their fitness goals. Works to develop a second gym are currently ongoing and once this is ready, the existing gym will be closed for refurbishment as well, before we ultimately have two separate rooms available. This will take a little time to achieve but will be worth the wait!

Access to the gym is available as an add on to all playing Members of the Club. Once a membership application has been accepted, new users are required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) and to undertake an induction to ensure safe use of the equipment. This is particularly important as the gym often unmanned, with usage of the equipment at their own risk. All such bookings can be made through the Club’s Office.

Members are also able to join in Circuit Training on Tuesday evenings (6 – 7pm and 7 – 8pm) and Saturday mornings (12 – 1pm), with booking for these classes taken on a first come first served basis (20 attendees per session possible). Currently, however, the classes have been suspended, although we are looking for them to resume once the development works as above are complete.

The Club’s resident Fitness Instructor is Paul Te Reo. Paul undertakes all inductions and runs the Circuit Training sessions, as well as being available for Personal Training. Paul’s details are listed below.
